Diploma Policy NUHW grants a bachelor's degree to the students who have acquired the following abilities and attributes. |
Curriculum Policy NUHW implements the curriculum as follows in order to help students develop into competent QOL supporters. |

S | Science & Art Ability to utilize scientific knowledge and skills in academic discipline |
Abilities to utilize their advanced scientific knowledge and skills in their own fields | Our curriculum provides liberal arts program and specialized courses in the fields of health, medicine, welfare, and sports from the first year. Students will be enrolled in more specialized courses allotted in senior years. The University Learning Support Center also provides services to students to ensure and solidify their learning. Learning outcomes will be evaluated by the results of qualifying examinations for each discipline. | Basic learning abilities at the high school graduation level |

Abilities to demonstrate global leadership to perform professional duties with competencies for interprofessional collaborative practices | Our curriculum provides ①courses that students can learn with their peers from different departments, ②Interprofessional Seminar I in the second year, and ③Interprofessional Seminar II in the fourth year, where students will collaborate with overseas students. Learning outcomes will be evaluated through various activities in Interprofessional Seminar II. | Attitudes to listen carefully to others, to communicate ideas in an easily understandable way, and to work with others cooperatively |

Attitude to be responsible for performing professional duties to enhance clients' QOL with respect and support for their diverse backgrounds | Our curriculum provides general courses in health, medicine, welfare, and liberal arts, along with interprofessional collaborative programs to support clients' QOL. Students are also encouraged to participate in volunteer activities in the local communities. Learning outcomes will be evaluated in Clinical Practices. | Attitudes to grasp others' opinions and feelings through dialogs and interactions and to understand them empathetically |

Abilities to collaborate within their interdisciplinary teams to solve clients' problems based on scientific assesment | Our curriculum provides specialized courses and seminars. In the second year, students will have chance to engage in research activities guided by instructors of their own choice in the practicum named UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program). In the fourth year, students work on graduation research, which will be the object of evaluation of their learning outcomes. | Abilities to incorporate others' opinions and to think multilaterally in order to make a valid judgment on various issues |
